Tip 10: developmental follow-up

The babies most at risk of disability should have standardised developmental follow-up at two years corrected age. They are:

1. <32/40

2. <1501g

3. HIE and cooled

4. Mod-severe HIE and not cooled (e.g. <36/40, postnatal collapse)

It is also suggested that any other baby still in the neonatal follow-up clinic at 2 years of age has developmental assessment.
