Tip 12: congenital anomalies

All congenital anomalies should be reported e.g. to EMSYCAR (East Midlands & South Yorkshire Congenital Anomalies Register), who then also submit data to BINOCAR (British Isles Network of Congenital Anomaly Registers).

In 2011, the overall birth prevalence of reported congenital anomalies was 219 per 10,000 births, the most common subgroup being cardiac defects (28%).
