Tip 167: pulmonary haemorrhage 2

Treatment of pulmonary haemorrhage comprises:

  • high PEEP on ventilator (redistribute the fluid back into the interstitial space)
  • surfactant
  • fluid restriction & diuretics
  • treatment of associated problems, such as hypotension, coagulopathy & sepsis
