Tip 177: hepatitis B immunisation

Hepatitis B immunisation should be offered to all babies identified to be at risk of infection by the antenatal screening programme.

Doses are given at:

  • birth
  • 1 month
  • 2 months
  • 12 months, plus blood test for serology to check infection and immunity status.
